EPA Exchange Network (EN) Grants Program: Performance Measures

Since 2002, the U.S. EPA has been supporting the implementation of the Exchange Network through its National Environmental Information Exchange Network Grant Program. The program provides funding for states, territories, and Federally Recognized Indian tribes and has played an enormous role in the current success of the Exchange Network. In January of 2008, EPA decided to implement a Performance Measures initiative to measure the success of the Grants Program. The Grants Performance Measures evaluate the grant cycle from start to finish beginning with the initial solicitation and ending with the number of completed grants. EPA has been so impressed with our work on the CDX and EN Performance Measures that they have brought Innovate aboard for the launch of this initiative. We focus on developing measures that drive desired behaviors of staff, management, partners and customers. Innovate hit the ground running with this initiative and it was operational after a few short months.
