The Central Data Exchange enables fast, efficient and more accurate environmental data submissions from state and local governments, industry and tribes to EPA and participating program offices. The Exchange Network is a partnership among states, tribes, and the EPA that is revolutionizing the exchange of environmental information. Partners on the Exchange Network share data efficiently and securely over the Internet.

Innovate currently supports EPA’s efforts to measure the performance of CDX and EN and have been on board with this initiative since its launch in 2004. The Performance Measures program evaluates the past performance of CDX and EN, establishes a system for customer and user feedback, and uses the evaluation to determine progress and strategic focus. The program measures several business and operational aspects of CDX and EN.
